Vivo Surgical is pleased to announce that the clinical study results of our portable ENLYT® flexible endoscope has just been accepted and published in the scientific journal Surgical Innovation.
The results from the study (50 patients, 9 examiners) comparing the ENLYT® with the Standard or Care (SOC) nasopharyngoscope demonstrated the following:
• ENLYT® was the same or easier to use (72% of exams)
• The video quality of ENLYT® was the same or better (88% of exams)
• The perception of pain with ENLYT® was the same or lesser (94% of exams)
• The level of discomfort with ENLYT® was the same or lesser (88% of exams)
Conclusion: The portable ENLYT® flexible endoscope was able to provide comparable exam results when compared to the SOC nasopharyngoscope.
We would like to thank our collaborators from the Department of Head and Neck Surgery & Communication Sciences at Duke University (Durham, NC) for their stellar work, as well as for the kind support and advice of our clinical collaborator, Dr Walter Lee, Chief of Staff for the Department and Co-Director for the Head and Neck Program at Duke Cancer Institute.
